Summer Program 2026:
Environmental Futures

Environmental challenges and disasters are only growing in scale and frequency. Rising to meet this reality means reimagining how we build our future: from urban design, to agricultural systems, to the changing energy landscape, understanding how to build a more resilient world is crucial to nearly all industries. How can we do so in ways that strengthen natural spaces and protect fragile ecosystems? How do we communicate the importance of environmental protection and threats in a rapidly changing world? In this weeklong program on Rice University’s campus, high school students will take Houston as a case study for understanding environmental challenges, and how to build safer, healthier, greener futures.
